David Alan Pendery
April 21, 1944 - April 13, 2023

On April 13, 2023, David Alan Pendery died unexpectedly at his home in Flower Mound, TX. Although he had recently experienced some health issues, his family was anticipating more time with him. David would have been 79 years old on April 21, 2023.

David Alan Pendery was born on April 21, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to Dr. Harry H. and Lola (Massey) Pendery. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1962 and went on to attend Texas A&M College (now University), class of 1966. David was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and majored in Marketing with a minor in Chemistry.

David was briefly married to the late Malinda Harrison Lore of Fort Worth and they had a daughter, Andrea Marie.

David married Darlene Ann Huffman in June 1972. David was a handsome young sales executive and Darlene was a beautiful young flight attendant-in-training for Braniff Airlines. They welcomed Cynthia Joy in 1973 and Beverly Jean in 1975. David and Darlene celebrated their golden 50th anniversary in June 2022.

David was a capitalist, and a brave entrepreneur. In 1979, he and Darlene founded Magnablend, Inc. in Waxahachie, Texas. Magnablend, Inc. delivered custom chemical manufacturing, and serviced the oil, gas, and agricultural industries.

Through years of sheer grit, hard work, prayer and many great industry relationships, Magnablend, Inc., delivered David and Darlene into self determination. Their company created thousands of jobs and brought prosperity to many. Over the years, they brought in valuable family members, their nephews Jimmy Jett and Scott Pendery. Scott added innovations and helped lead Magnablend, Inc. into the 21st Century.

David was a lifelong, avid fisherman. His first fishing trips with his father and older brother gave him a love for fishing that endured to his very last day. He took every one of his family: his children, his grandchildren, their friends, his nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors, wounded warriors, veterans and his best friends, and shared with them his love of fishing.

David was LOVED by all who knew him. He was the life of the party. He was Elvis, white studded suit and all!. He could sing. He was funny, generous, kind, compassionate and loyal. He loved animals, but especially dogs. Cobb, Birdie, QD, Lily, Sweetie, and lastly, Baxter and Rosie. David donated to many dog charities and rescues, most prominently ARFhouse.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Darlene, of Flower Mound; daughters Andrea M. Greenwald (husband Tom) of Celina, Texas, Cynthia J. Pendery of Magalia, California, and Beverly J. Pendery of Italy. Grandchildren: Kevin Greenwald (wife Alyson), John Greenwald (fiancee Cassandra Wilson), Brooke Oliver Hatton (husband Isaiah), and Margaret Greenwald (fiance Kristopher Fields); Great granddaughter Clara Elaine Greenwald; and sister Marilyn Jones (husband Chalon) of Bryan, Texas, sister-in-law Norma Pendery of Magalia, California; cousins Kathleen Evans of Fort Worth and Susan McCue of Fort Worth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and all their children. Each of them was loved by David, with special memories of fishing or hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Harry H. and Lola Pendery and brother Dr. Harry H. Pendery Jr.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 21, 2023 at Victory Life Church in Sherman, TX at 11:00 am with reception to follow.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00pm at Texas A&M Field of Honor Cemetery in College Station, TX.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to WWW.ARFHouse.org an animal rescue organization that David loved to donate to.
