Tammy Renee Moore
December 7, 1964 - February 14, 2023
Tammy Renee (Hedgpeth) Moore departed this world on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023. A loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend, she was born on December 7, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas, the second daughter of Ray and Peggy (Fulcher) Hedgpeth. The family moved to Mount Pleasant, Texas where she was raised. Tammy was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, often reminiscing of her cheerleader and drill team days, where she gained lifelong friends. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, she was a lifelong Aggie and member of the 12th Man. After earning her B.S. in Journalism, she became a flight attendant with Continental Airlines. She later earned her M.A. in English Literature from the University of New Mexico. After becoming a mom, her favorite job she ever had, Tammy embarked on a 30 year career in the mortgage finance industry, rising to senior leadership positions in underwriting and credit policy.
Tammy loved to cook, with her Bolognese Sauce, Chicken Spaghetti, and Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake recipes envied by many. She loved being a mom and loved her two boys more than anything. A devoted Christian, she held a deep faith and believed in the power of prayer. And she loved her Texas A&M Aggies. Growing up, her boys knew Sundays were for God, but Saturdays were for Aggies football.
Tammy left this world to join her parents, Ray and Peggy (Fulcher) Hedgpeth, sister Denise (Hedgpeth) Banks, and nephew Kyle Banks in paradise. She leaves behind her son and son-in-law, Ryne and Gebriel, son Alexander, along with devoted sister-cousin Pamala Fulcher Hook, as well as many other loving extended family and lifelong friends.
