The oldest living Aggies

The oldest known living Aggie is Col. George Baram '37 of Coronado, California, who turned 111 in May 2025.

Baram was a cadet at Texas A&M and received a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.

James F. Scheumack '41 of Green Valley, Arizona, who will turn 107 in December 2025, was a cadet and lived in Walton Hall. He graduated in 1942 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

John O. Booker, Jr. '42 of Lufkin, Texas, turned 104 in March 2025. He was a cadet, earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering and served as Mayor of Pineland, Texas for many years. 

William O. Karcher '42 of Austin celebrated his 106th birthday in July 2025. He was a cadet and studied agricultural administration while at A&M. 

Lou L. Manchester '42 of Austin will turn 105 in December 2025. He was a cadet and received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is a retired president of Gripper Inc. 

Edward A. Sterling III '42 of Tacoma, Washington, turned 104 years old in March 2025. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and has had a long career as a priest. 

William Bever '43 of Fort Worth turned 104 in February of 2025. He studied chemical engineering and was a member of Student Engineers' Council. 

Theron N. Riley '47 of Houston will celebrate his 105th birthday in December 2025. He was a cadet and earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering. 

Robert Weiler '48 of North Olmsted, Ohio, turned 104 in May of 2025. He was a cadet and earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.  

Louis McBee '50 of Metairie, Louisiana, turned 104 in June of 2025. He earned his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering before working for the U.S. Department of Interior.

The previous oldest Aggie ever to have lived, as far as can be determined by Association records, was Col. Tom C. "Ike" Morris '33 of San Antonio. He passed away Oct. 20, 2019, at the age of 109 years. Read more about Morris at tx.ag/IkeMorris33.
