Randolph Willard Taylor
Wednesday, June 28th, 1939 - Tuesday, January 18th, 2022

Randolph Willard “Randy” Taylor, 82, of Bailey’s Prairie passed away on January 18, 2022. Randy was born on June 28, 1939 in New Braunfels, Texas to Willard and Frances (Schwab) Taylor.

Randy married Marlene Vibrock on January 19, 1969. They lived in Angleton until they built their forever home in Bailey’s Prairie. Randy graduated from Angleton High School in 1957.

He attended and graduated from Texas A&M in 1961 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His first job out of college was with Dow Chemical Co. in Freeport, Texas as an engineer. Randy me his future wife, Marlene, and made many long-time friends as he traveled the world with Dow. He left Dow and went to work with his brother Edward in the asphalt and cement businesses. He then joined his brother Darrell, and they operated DER Propane and DER Equipment Co. until they sold the business in 2009.

Randy attended faithfully St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson and Holy Trinity Church in Angleton until the pandemic.

Friends and family said Randy was a good, kind, honorable and loyal man.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Frances Taylor; brother, Berriman Taylor; and nephew, Todd Taylor.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Marlene Taylor; Children (Spouse), Mark (Sarah) Parsons, Steve (Christine) Parsons, Tori Frances Taylor and Megan Mae Taylor; Brothers (Spouse), Edward (Seareatha) Taylor, Darrell (Diane) Taylor. Nieces (Spouse); Monica Taylor, Krista (Ken) Hosmer, Nephews (Spouse); Kent Taylor, Edward (Kara) Taylor, Chad (Jennifer) Taylor, and Clay (Stephanie) Taylor; and numerous grandchildren as well as other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at noon with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Palms Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
