The Association of Former Students and Farmers Insurance, one of the country's largest insurer groups of vehicles and homes, have announced a new relationship between Farmers® and The Association of Former Students.
Through the collaboration, Aggies will have access to an expansive portfolio of auto, home, renters and motorsports insurance products, and a wide range of educational insurance resources.
“The Association selects a limited number of leading brands that offer products, services or discounts to former students, and we are excited to add Farmers to the list,” said Nic Taunton '07, Vice President at The Association of Former Students. “Just as we, The Association, serve the Aggie Network, we are looking forward to Farmers serving farmers, as they always have, except decades later, by providing benefits and a multitude of insurance options and discounts.”
(“Farmers” is a historical nickname for A&M students that dates to the early 1900s, before the “Aggies” nickname took hold; “Farmers” still appears in uses such as the “Farmers Fight” yell.)
The relationship with Farmers Insurance will also help The Association fulfill its mission of strengthening The Association of Former Students; promoting the interest and welfare of Texas A&M; perpetuating ties of affection and esteem formed in university or college days; and serving the student body.
