Consul General Akins is a big jazz fan, but today is all about heavy metal. Welcoming Five Finger Death Punch to Hamburg! Bassist Chris Kael stopped by at the Consulate for a visit before tonight’s concert. Darion Akins thanked the American band for their support of U.S. veterans and first responders, and for playing many shows for U.S. troops overseas. The Association of the United States Army honored them with the “Soldier Appreciation Award” - this makes them the only music artist besides Elvis Presley who has been honored with the award.
