Justin Hamilton ‘06 Wins 2018 Sensus Reach Award

Selma, TX (October 30, 2018) – Aqua Metric received the 2018 Sensus ReachSM Distributor Community Award. The Sensus Reach Awards recognize innovation, problem solving and results among public service providers.

Justin Hamilton, Manager of Strategic Sales at Aqua Metric is recognized for community awareness.
Justin launched “Operation Appreciation”—an effort to feed tired and hungry utility crews after Hurricane Harvey. Aqua-Metric volunteers made a dozen stops and fed more than 1,000 utility workers restoring service in Texas and Louisiana.

Sensus, a Xylem brand, solicited nominations from its customers, distributors and employees. A team of judges rated nominees on three criteria: ingenuity, vision and results.

Winners received their award during the 2018 Sensus Reach Conference in Hollywood, FL which ran October 21-24. The event brings together thought leaders and industry experts to discuss utilities of the future across water, gas, electricity and lighting. Smart technology from Sensus delivers enhanced connectivity for the communities they serve.

“People don’t necessarily think about their water or power until it’s gone,” said Hamilton. “Our team at Aqua Metric wanted to recognize all of the utility crews for their hard work restoring services in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and a hot meal was a great way to say thank you.”
