Thank You For Helping The Association Exceed Its 2018 Annual Fund Goal

Through the generous support of donors, The Association of Former Students exceeded its 2018 Annual Fund goal in both donors and dollars.

The Association raised $10,265,532.96 from 57,423 donors, surpassing the year's goal of $10.25 million from 55,000 donors.

"This accomplishment represents our largest Annual Fund by donors and dollars in our nearly 140-year history—a true testament to the generosity of the Aggie Network and the hard work of our team," said Nic Taunton '07, vice president of development.

"[Donors'] support will have a lasting impact on the Aggie Network. We are so grateful for [their] gift and look forward to sharing stories of the many opportunities that will be provided and the many lives that will be touched due to [that] generosity."

For 2018-19, The Association will provide Texas A&M about $13.6 million in direct and indirect support. The Association also awarded its highest number of scholarships for this school year, topping out at 1,800. This includes the 400 emergency scholarships The Association and Texas A&M Foundation partnered to provide for incoming freshmen who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The Annual Fund is the largest source of revenue for The Association and makes this support possible.

2018's fundraising success would not have been possible without the numerous gifts made on Pass It Back Day, The Association's annual day of giving. The goal for Pass It Back Day 2018 was to reach 1,876 gifts, a number selected in honor of the year that Texas A&M opened its doors. The final tally showed that 2,222 gifts were made between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 15. Those gifts totaled $297,093.14. Read more here. 

The Association is proud of the support provided to Texas A&M, and we want to do more. To best achieve this, we have set a goal to engage more Aggies in service and support to Texas A&M and are actively working toward increasing our donor count to 100,000 by 2020.
