Meet Your 2008 Class Agents!

Howdy Ags! Today the Young Alumni Advisory Council wraps up its series focusing on your Class Agents. These agents are elected to serve as a liaison between your Class and The Association. This week is our final class of Young Alumni, the class of 2008, who will also be celebrating their 10 year reunion this weekend at Young Alumni Weekend!

Kyle Schielak (KS), a finance major based in Houston, "Kyle and his wife, Allie (May) Schielack '08, reside in Houston, Texas, where they raise their two daughters, Collins and Campbell, and soon-to-be surprise in December. Kyle is a Vice President and Shareholder of Higginbotham, the largest private insurance brokerage in Texas, where he manages both the manufacturing and real estate divisions; while Allie, teaches Middle School World Cultures at First Baptist Academy. Kyle is involved in the local community in a variety of areas: Calf Scramble at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Prison Entrepreneurship Program, Co-founder and Board Member of Live Oak Professionals (a group comprised of young business leaders) and a current student in The Masters Program, a program designed to connect with marketplace professionals, by combining business experience and individual strengths with personal interest in Kingdom opportunities, to name a few. Kyle and family are active members of Grace Bible Church in Houston. In his spare time he enjoys hunting with his girls, traveling with his family and playing golf with his friends."

Todd Hunter, Jr., (TH) a finance major is based in Corpus Christi, "From Corpus Christi. Lawyer. Sailor."

Claire Petree (CP), a marketing major based in  Houston, "Claire Barbier Petree is the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2008. A-Whoop! After graduation, Claire went to work for AT&T and was part of the Leadership Development Program. She has spent the majority of her career supporting AT&T's corporate university where she currently designs leadership development training programs for all employees. Claire lives in Houston, TX with her husband, Nick Petree '09."

Jordan Kleckley (JK), an accounting major based in College Station, "Jordan graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (2008) and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management (2009). After graduating, she worked for Mays Business School in the Undergraduate Programs Office as an Advisor (2 years) and then served as the Assistant Director of the Full-Time MBA Program (3 years). Since graduating Texas A&M, Jordan has been an active real estate investor and after leaving Mays Business School decided to pursue that passion full-time as a Real Estate Agent in Bryan/College Station.

Jordan is a member of the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors, The Texas Association of Realtors®, and The National Association of Realtors®. She also is a member of the Junior League of Bryan-College Station.

Jordan currently resides in Bryan, TX with her husband and 3 boys - Will (5), Matt (3) and Jack (3 mos.). She enjoys being outside, cooking, remodeling and all things fall (cool weather, football and family)"

Why did you want to become a Class Agent?
KS: To remain active within the Aggie Network and have the ability to continue to work with and give back to our great class of 2008!
TH: To work with and stay connected with some of my old class mates. 
CP: I wanted to become a Class Agent to help keep my classmates connected to each other and our beloved Texas A&M University. 
JK: To give back and stay connected to the University and my classmates.

What goals do you have as a Class Agent?
KS: One major goal would be to ensure all classmates know how to utilize their Aggie Network Profile. Another would be to increase the class awareness to the on-going changes in Aggieland and increase annual class giving to the Association. 
TH: Make the newsletter more interesting. Still needs work. 
CP: As a Class Agent, I want to keep the Class of 2008 informed about what's going on with the university, connected with other former students, and engaged in memorable Aggie moments.
JK: Continuously stay connected to the University and my classmates; enhance the experience of my classmates as Former Students.

KS: Ol' Ags; Business Fellows; SGA - Fish Aides, COSGA, Muster Committee, Development Team, Diversity Team, Big Event; Alpha Phi Omega; MSC - Abbott Family Leadership Conference, Fall Leadership Conference, EXCEL; Aggie Access

CP: MSC Town Hall and MSC Executive Council 
JK: Maggies, MSC Hospitality, FLIP, Parent's Weekend, Mays Business Fellows
