Meet your 2014 Class Agents!

Howdy Ags! The Young Alumni Advisory Council continues its series focusing on your Class Agents. These agents are elected to serve as a liaison between your Class and The Association. This week is the Class of 2014, as we count down to the week of Young Alumni Weekend when we'll highlight the Class of 2008 Class Agents as that Class will be celebrating its 10-year Reunion!

Ryan Crawford (RC), a Political Science major/Spanish minor based in Camp Lejeune, NC, “I have been married to Lizzy Mae (Van Eerden) Crawford, for one year and two months. She is from and we met near Greensboro, NC, while I was stationed at Camp Lejeune in NC. We have a 4-month-old daughter, Anna Grace Mae Crawford and also have a black lab, Tex! I’m four years out of Texas A&M University and we are “EAS” – transitioning out of the United States Marine Corps and headed back to Austin, TEXAS this week, actually. I will work as Vice President of Operations for Value Waste Services (VWS), founded by Fightin’ Texas Aggie John Claybrook ’13!”

Caroline Lengyel (CL), a Finance and Business Honors major based in Beaufort, SC, “Howdy! I am honored to serve as one of the Class of 2014 Class Agents. I am a second-generation Aggie and have bled maroon my entire life. A&M shaped me into who I am today, through friendships, student organizations, and professors who truly invested in my future. One of my favorite Aggie memories was earning my ring, followed by my younger brother also earning his! I married another Class of 2014 member; no children yet, but you can bet they will also be Good Ags. Gig 'em!”

Why did you want to become a Class Agent?
RC: "To represent and stay closely connected to Texas A&M University for many years in ‘former student life!’”
CL: "To have the opportunity to serve my class after graduation, keeping everyone connected for the years to come.”

What goals do you have as a Class Agent?
RC: "To help promote Texas A&M as worthy of former Ag’s continued financial and professional support.”
CL: "My goal is to have all our classmates easily be able to locate each other and build friendships, no matter where we live in the world! I've already lived in three cities since graduation due to my husband's job, so this cause is near and dear to my heart.”

What Organizations were you a part of while at A&M?
RC: "Corps of Cadets, Rev VIII Handler/Mascot Corporal, Ol’ AGS, Junior/Senior Yell Leader, Maroon Coats"
CL: "Maroon Coats, The Big Event, Business Fellows, Titans of Investing, Horizons Consulting Guild, Kappa Alpha Theta, Fish Aides, Muster (host), Abbott Family Leadership Conference”
