Allen Mize '90 has the new Chief Operating Officer of McCall Farms. Allen has been in the food industry for 32 years. He will be uniting with an existing team that shares his passion for the business.
Allen comes to McCall Farms after many successful years with Del Monte Foods. He has spent his entire career dedicated to the food industry and has undoubtedly impacted it for the better. Allen began professionally as an entry level supervisor in Texas for Del Monte and has continuously taken on accelerated roles over the years from agricultural and operations manager, to leadership roles at the corporate level, agricultural director, research and development, director of genetic programs, to operations leadership and acquisition and divestiture integration. This vast experience will be of value helping the McCall Farms organization grow and focus on excellence in service to our customers.
As COO, Allen will be responsible for managing the operations aspects of McCall Farms. His extensive experience in agriculture, manufacturing, packaging, food safety and quality are key attributes in making him ideally suited for this role. His ability to drive and lead strategic initiatives will serve him well as he transitions into his new role with McCall Farms.
Allen is a 1990 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy Business. Allen presently serves on the board of directors of the Texas Food Processors Association as Past-President, director with the American Fruit and Vegetable Grower and Processors Coalition and a member of the board of directors of the Commodity Liaison Committee with the IR-4 program and member of the Midwest Food Processors Association Crops Committee. This wide range of experience in government relations and industry wide leadership is welcomed and exciting for McCall Farms.
Allen and his family will be moving to the Florence, South Carolina area from Sycamore, Illinois.
