Jeffrey Lee Steed, 61, of Nederland, Texas passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Jeffrey was born August 16, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Robert Steed and Mary Rose Sims. He was a resident of this area since 1986 and was a Structural Steel Estimator with Tubal Cain Industries in Vidor. Jeffrey was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland, Texas.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Kathy Steed of Nederland, Texas; father, Robert Steed and wife Jamie of Gonzales, Texas; mother, Mary Rose Chapman of Port Arthur, Texas; daughter, Leia Steed of Nederland, Texas; son, Jacob Steed of Nederland, Texas; sister, Vicki Bland and husband Bruce of Alvin, Texas; brother, Richard Steed and wife Lisa of Channelview, Texas.
Jeff was loved for his dedication as a Father and a Husband, and as a friend to everyone he met. His unique sense of humor was well known.
