Gerald Sullivan '67 Inducted int Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame

Gerald Sullivan '67 December 12, 2017 2:25 PM updated: December 12, 2017 3:02 PM

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame will induct Gerald Sullivan, a Galveston native, during a Jan. 11 ceremony in Fort Worth.
The hall of fame is honoring Sullivan as a leader in livestock activities in the state.

Sullivan is co-owner of the Santa Rosa Ranch in Crockett and Navasota, which is the largest registered producer of Brangus and Ultrablack cattle in Texas. His family has been in the cattle business for more than a century.

Sullivan is a 1967 graduate of Texas A&M University and has been active in real estate development, maritime operations and construction. He served as the chairman of the Wharves Board of Trustees, which governs the Port of Galveston, as the public docks recovered from Hurricane Ike, which struck in 2008.

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame inducts people who reach excellence in competition or business, and support rodeos and the western lifestyle in Texas, organizers said.
