Durham '01 named to Girl Scouts Board of Directors

Girl Scouts welcomes new members to board of directors.

Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC), one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the U.S., welcomes five new members to its board of directors: Tony Canales, Darcie Durham, Michele McNichol, Helene Sheena and Katherine Warren. The new board members began serving a two-year term June 1.

Darcie Durham (77098) is senior director of national strategy for Boeing in Houston. Prior to this position, she served as the chief of staff to the CEO at Boeing in Seattle and a federal lobbyist for Boeing in Washington D.C. Darcie was a member of Girl Scouts as a girl. As a member of the board of directors, Darcie hopes her experiences in her career will help encourage girls to explore STEM careers and provide opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have.
