Chris Davis to Serve as VP for Balfour Beatty’s Austin Office

Balfour Beatty Construction announces that Chris Davis will serve as the Vice President for the company’s Austin, Texas, office, providing direction and oversight for all local operations. A 23-year construction veteran and talented, strategic leader, Davis helps clients achieve their business goals by leveraging operational excellence and lean construction practices. Davis joined Balfour Beatty in 2014.

Well established in the local community, Davis plays a significant role in the evolution and growth of the company’s presence in central Texas, by expanding the commercial, civic, healthcare and education sectors. Balfour Beatty is recognized by The Austin Business Journal as a Top Commercial Contractor and is a consecutive Best Places to Work winner.

Passionate about Zero Harm; Davis places emphasis on creating a culture of safety throughout the organization by continually challenging teams to apply, train, inspect and monitor Balfour Beatty’s industry-leading safety program. He believes it is critical to spotlight commonalities in safe construction practices and motivate teams to focus on heart-to-head behaviors.

Davis’ first steps into the construction industry began at age five when his mother taught him how to weld and at age 15 he spent summers working at the family welding supply company. A natural builder, he continues his passion for metal fabrication.

Davis currently serves as an Advisory Board Member with ULI Austin. He holds a Bachelor of Science in construction science from Texas A&M University.
