Read about Julia Lancaster's job with YETI Coolers!
Howdy! My name is Julia Lancaster and I am a proud, fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2015! I have been at my wonderful job at YETI Coolers for about eight months now, and what a whirlwind it has been. I came to YETI unconventionally by way of temp agency. After a summer of fruitless job hunting, I went to work for a temp agency in Austin to at least placate the boredom. I was placed in several temporary assignments before I was placed in the data entry temp position at YETI. Five weeks after starting, I was hired full time as an Account Coordinator for the Custom Logo team. Custom Logo is a subsection of the Sales team, but all of my accounts are companies and organizations who order their coolers with customized logos applied to the top. Day to day I help handle new orders from existing accounts, start and manage new logo accounts, and keep in contact with the warehouse to make sure we have the correct inventory to ship orders on time. My favorite part of my job is hearing back from customers about how much they love their YETI products and getting to build that relationship with them. Everyone at YETI genuinely believes in our products and lives out the brand on a daily basis. There is as definite culture of loyalty, camaraderie, and friendship, reminiscent of Texas A&M. Not surprising since one of our founders is an Aggie! Working at YETI is like being on a rocket ship in which I am lucky enough to be a passenger, and I look forward to a career that is "Built for the wild".
