Leroy Eugene Little
A brilliant, kind, humble, and honorable scientist, husband, father, and friend passed gently from this world in the early hours of Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, comforted by the constant presence of his wife by his side.
Leroy Eugene Little served God, his country, his family and his friends with infinite generosity and sacrifice. He is now in the presence of Greatness, in perfect peace, with our kin that passed before him, and finally with the complete understanding of the
universe he so diligently pursued through his equations.
Having earned a Masters of Science in electrical engineering from Texas A&M and given his innate passion for mathematics, Leroy’s contributions to technological advancement remain fundamental to academic development and the fruits of his mind and labor will
benefit our society forever.
He was born March 18, 1931, in Baytown, Texas, where he grew up in the midst of farm land, shrimp boats, oil rigs, and bull-gators. Preceded in death by his precious daughter, Jamie Linda, Leroy Little is survived by his wife and one true love, Carolyn Jan
Little; by his treasured daughter, Karen Joyce Erickson; by his son and joy, Michael Troy Little; by his beloved ‘baby,’ Tamara Jo Pelham, and grandchildren: Sarah, America, Danielle, Dagan and Luke.
Leroy is dearly loved and his presence greatly missed, yet he remains with us in ways unseen but clearly recognized by the heart and soul.
