Mr. Clifford L. Thomas
December 19, 1922 - August 27, 2015
Funeral services for Mr. Clifford L. Thomas, 92, who died peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2015, will be announced by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. A private family burial with military honors will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Oakwood Cemetery, Cisco, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Darlington County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1655, Hartsville, SC 29551.
Mr. Thomas was born on December 19, 1922 in Breckenridge, TX, the son of the late Richard Thomas and Genevieve Galvin Thomas. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He retired from the FAA as an architect and designed several major airports during his career. He was a member of West Hartsville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Paula White of Atlanta, GA, Peggy Evans of Hartsville, SC; sister, Doris Hintz of Denver, CO; grandsons, Brandon Bean (Katie) of Tucker, GA, Jeremy White (Kristy) of Hattiesburg, MS, Chad Evans (Courtney), of Pearl, MS, Ryan Evans of Kernersville, NC; nieces, Janet (Gene) Hargrove of Azle, TX, Joanne (Roger) Estes of Dripping Springs, TX, Martha Elliott of Cisco, TX, Beth Ann (Tony) Buchholz of Denver, Colorado; nephews, Mark (Connie) Hintz of Denver, CO; great grandchildren, Carson, Declan, and Harper Bean, Madison, Austin, Abigail White; cousin, Raymond (Lois) Thomas of Garland, TX.
