Tommy Arhopulos
Tommy Arhopulos, 87 of Wellborn, TX passed away on January 8, 2015 surrounded by his family. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday January 12, 2015, at St. Michael’s Academy Chapel, 2500 S College Ave., Bryan, Texas 77801. Services will begin at 12 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery.
Tommy was born in Teague, TX, to John and Katie Arhopulos. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and a 1948 graduate of Texas A&M University.
Tommy rode cutting horses early in his career and became a Quarter Horse owner, trainer and breeder. He was a lifetime member of the AQHA and a career rancher who loved his horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Georgia Cole; and grandson, Kevin Cole.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Nell Crawford Arhopulos; daughters Terry Williams, Carol Arnold, and Rexanne Pilkenton; sister Nell Yperifanos; grandsons Jason and Brandon Williams, John and Chad Wolf; granddaughters Katie Buckley and Jenna Rosier; and 13 Great grandchildren.
Donations can be made in Tommy’s honor to the Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility at 1600 Joseph Dr., Bryan, TX 77802.
