William Ryan Crump

William Ryan Crump, age 79, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 20, 2016. Bill was born August 9, 1936, in McKinney, to Brice Anthony and Willie Juanita (Miller) Crump. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1954 and later from Texas A&M University in 1958, where he was in the Corps of Cadets. Bill married Ruby Norris on February 20, 1960 in College Station, Texas. Bill and his family owned and operated Crump’s Garden, Inc. in McKinney for many years. He proudly served in the National Guard and was a member of First Christian Church in McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Crump of McKinney, Texas; son, Bill Crump and wife, Debbie, of McKinney; daughter, Tammy Rogers and husband, Rainey also of McKinney; grandchildren, Kevin Crump and wife, Lyndsey, Brice Crump, Lindsey Crump, Jacob Rogers and wife, Jordan, Steven Rogers and wife, Elise, Will Rogers and wife, Whitney, Jed Rogers, and Olivia Rogers; great-grandchildren, Sloane Crump, Penn Crump Beckham Rogers, and Quinn Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Joe B. Crump and younger brother, Tom W. Crump.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
