Leah Gail Stewart

Leah Gail Stewart, 58, of Houston, TX passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was born August 5, 1957 to Billy M. Stewart and Joyce C. Word Stewart in Las Cruces, NM.
Gail attended Alvin High School, and then attended Texas A&M University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. She worked for the Army Corp of Engineers for over 25 years and was a member of the Texas Professional Society of Professional Engineers. Gail enjoyed the outdoors, skiing, scuba diving and traveling.
She is survived by her son Cody Miller; sister Shelley Galetka and husband Tim Galetka; brother Blake Stewart; nephew Trent Galetka; and many other relatives and cherished friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Alvin, 611 W. South St., Alvin, TX 77511 with Rev. Linda Snow officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lowes Creek Cemetery in Branch, AR.
