Lawhon, James T.

Oct. 28, 1925 - Aug. 31, 2015 James "Jim" T. Lawhon, 89, of College Station, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015. A private family graveside service was held to honor his life on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betsy, in November 2014. He leaves behind his children, Jeff Lawhon of College Station, Debbie Lawrence and husband Jack of Boone, North Carolina, Elizabeth Tworek of College Station, Stephen Lawhon and wife Laurel of College Station; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the wonderful, dedicated staffs of Traditions Health Care and St. Joseph Manor and his personal physician, Dr. William Pieratt, for their loving, compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Jim to the charity of your choice.
