What is your most memorable Aggie experience? I could write a book with all the incredible
memories I have made at Texas A&M, but the ones I think most about are my first and last days as a
student. From move in day to the Mosher dorms, to shaking Dr. Gate’s hand (so cool!) as I walked
across the stage on graduation day. Both days symbolized the beginning of new chapters in my life and a lot of memories were made between those days - ones that shaped my life forever.
How has your time at Texas A&M impacted where you are today, personally and/or
professionally? Personally, I have Texas A&M to thank for serving as the setting for meeting my
wonderful husband! Now we even have two Aggie dogs, Sully and Theo, as well as a future Class of '33 Fightin’ Texas Aggie son, Archer! We know how to raise them right… wearing maroon! Professionally, I work with several Aggies that would all agree Texas A&M
has established a
reputation for excellence that we fortunately get to tie our name to.
Where do you want to be in 5 years? Hopefully not in emotional distress for sending my baby to
Kindergarten! By then, I hope to have another kiddo, have moved into a bigger home to
accommodate our growing family, do some fun traveling with the kids, and have established a
comfortable work/life balance.
Where can we find you when you are not at work? What’s your favorite way to spend a
weekend or Sunday afternoon? Our nights and weekends have really changed now that baby
Archer is here and it usually revolves around what he has planned for us that day! The perfect
Sunday afternoon would involve grilling in the backyard with family and friends and relaxing by the
pool…with no mosquitoes…with a glass of wine.
Where do you work and what is your role? What most excites you about your work & the
contribution you can make? I work at Texas Children's Hospital and I am the Practice
Administrator for the Pediatric Anesthesiology department. I am responsible for the financial and
operational aspects of our department to ultimately ensure we are providing quality and safe care to our patients. Walking the halls at TCH is not like any other workplace, because you get to witness miracles every day. No matter what your role is in this organization,
you make a difference that impacts a child's life. It doesn't get much better than that!
What do you miss most about Texas A&M or Bryan/College Station? My best friends. I am
blessed to have made the friends I did at A&M and took advantage of having them not only in the
same city as me, but under the same roof! Now we are all spread out across Texas and have to rely
on Aggie Football or planned special events to bring us all together. It’s definitely not as much fun
getting ready in my bathroom by myself or picking an outfit from only my closet when I am used to
having four closets of options!
What would be impossible for you to give up? Seeing my son smile. ?? I will do just about
anything to make him crack a smile for me. The way it warms my heart is indescribable. Becoming a mother has been the most rewarding experience that has completely changed my life forever.
