Virginia Beach - Louis Graham Horn, 70, passed peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015. He was born on October 22, 1944 in Wichita, KS to the late Louis & Bonnie (Graham) Horn. In addition to his parents, Graham was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald
Lee Barnes.
Graham graduated from Texas A&M University and also has graduate degrees from Wichita State University and William & Mary. After retiring from the US Air Force, he worked as Assistant Director of Continuing Education for the University of Virginia in Virginia
Beach and later as a defense contractor for several companies. Among his military awards are 2 Legion of Merits, Airman's Medal with Valor, Bronze Star, and an Award from the Republic of China (Taiwan), Ministry of Communication.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Margaret "Maggie" (La Viola) Horn; daughter, Alice Horn; sister, Toni Barnes; nephew, Robert Barnes, his wife Rebecca, and their son Jackson; and many friends who will remember him fondly.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach, 23462. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia
Beach, 23462, followed by a graveside service with military honors at Olive Branch Cemetery, 2 Cpl J M Williams Ave., Portsmouth, 23701. Memorial donations in Graham's honor may be made to: Pancreatic Cancer Action Network - www.pancan.org, Fisher House to
