Edward Sarlls
Edward C. Sarlls Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 18, 2014 after a long battle with Cancer at the age of 77.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sarlls Sr., mother, Hazel Corder Sarlls and son, John David Sarlls.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Young Sarlls and children Edward Sarlls III (wife Trudy), Stephen Sarlls, step-daughter Andi Bonura (husband Thomas) and grandchildren, Samantha, Spencer, Emily, Rachel, Joey, Sadie and Daphne.
Edward was born in Victoria, Texas, graduated from A&M with a degree in mechanical design engineering, and resided in Friendswood Texas for the last 14 years. He was employed with The Boeing Company at the time of his death and enjoyed working as a team member designing projects for the International Space Station such as the robotic arm and the hook assembly systems. He was also proud to have worked on The Apollo project and various plane designs for U.S military projects. He served in the U.S Army as a 1st Lieutenant.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Chris Norton officiating.
