Obituary:
Allan Ralph Smith, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was 89.

Allan was born April 20, 1926, in Kaufman, Texas, to Amazon Ralph and Eula Craig Smith. He was a 1947 graduate of Texas A&M University, a Naval Aviator and retired Lt Cdr from the United States Navy. Allan was a member of First United Methodist Church in De Kalb, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jean Smith White in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Floy Smith of De Kalb, Texas; three nephews, Dan Allan White of Arlington, Texas, Tim White of Arlington, Texas and Michael White of McKinney, Texas; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
