Ina Rae Gorden Rickard, 56, of Coolidge, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. A loving tribute to Ina’s life will be held with family and close friends at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Tehuacana Cemetery.
Ina was born August 8, 1958 in Mexia, TX to Burney Gorden and Mary Beth Demoney. She graduated Valedictorian of her high school class in Coolidge, TX. Upon graduation, Ina attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in Business Management in 1980. From there, she went to work at Frazier & Frazier Industries and retired in 2014, completing 34 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Barham.
Ina is survived by a daughter and her loving family; daughter, Lauren Rickard; sisters, Tillie Ashmore and husband, Jesse of Coolidge, Jenny Gorden of Hubbard, Julie Wasson and husband, Bill of College Station and Linda Barham of Tustin, CA; brother Ben Gorden of Coolidge; and a host of special nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.
In a word, Ina was genuine. She had a genuine love for her family, including daily visits with her sister. For every holiday or special event, Ina was there. There to offer support and there to love. Ina was a rare treasure and will always be loved in the truest of ways and forever cherished by her family.
