Marshall Dean Woodruff(1933 - 2015)
WOODRUFF, Marshall Dean Marshall Dean Woodruff, 81,a retired Presbyterian minister, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Granbury First United Methodist Church. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park Memorials in Mr. Woodruffs behalf may be made to North Central Texas Christian Academy (formerly Happy Hills Farm) Mr. Woodruff was born May 17, 1933 in Pecos, Texas to Horace and Isyl Woodruff. He attended Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas A & M University, Southwestern Seminary, University of Edinburgh in Scotland and Walden University in his quest to his PH.D. During the seminary days, Dean pastored the Edhube Baptist Church in N.E. Texas. After graduate school in Edinburgh, Scotland, he was called to pastor the First Baptist Church in Clifton, Texas, then, he and Floy went to the Windsor Park Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. Their last pastorate was Webster Presbyterian Church in the NASA area of Houston. After retirement, Dean got a real estate license and worked for the Texas State Land Office. Survivors: wife, Floy Kate Woodruff; son, Dean Woodruff and wife Donna; daughter, Kristin Orme and husband Dennis; grandchildren, Sigr, Iris, Clay, Audrey and Kelly , 5 great grandchildren and cousin, Doris Tillery of Pecos.
