September 14, 1942 - February 11, 2015
Benton Watson, 72, of Cameron died Wednesday, February 11, in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Eugene VanNoord officiating. Burial will follow in the Walkers Creek Cemetery near Cameron. Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Benton, Milam County Farm Bureau agent, was born September 14, 1942 in Pilot Point and was adopted by T. B. and Olene (Gunn) Watson. He attended Abilene Christian University before graduating from Texas A & M with a degree in Ag Journalism. He married Diana Lynn Sutphen on July 23, 1966 and was a member of the Cameron Church of Christ. His son Brian Benton Watson preceded him in death in 1983. Survivors include:
