What is your most memorable Aggie
experience?

Walking across the stage at Reed Arena and becoming first person in
my family to graduate college.

How has your time at Texas A&M impacted where you are today, personally and/or professionally?

It has impacted me tremendously. Personally, the Aggie Network has been great to me. I can honestly say that almost all of my closest friends are Aggies, every groomsmen in my wedding was an Aggie and the people that have impacted me the most are all people that either graduated from or worked at Texas A&M. Professionally, it has been even better. Every job that I have had since graduating has been a referral from an Aggie or I was recruited by an Aggie. The ways in which Texas A&M has changed my life are many.

Where can we find you when you are not at work? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend  or Sunday afternoon?

When I am not at work I am almost always spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter or hanging out with some friends from our small group at church. On Sunday afternoon, we are usually about to grab some lunch with friends or grilling out, we play some washers or bags at somebodies house and try and spend time with all of our families.

Where do you work and what is your role? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can
make?

I work at Federated Insurance and my role is a Marketing Representative. Our responsibility is to service and grow our territories book of business and the thing that most excites me about my job is how competitive it is. Business insurance is a very tough job and I am meeting face to face with business owners from about 10-12 industries, five days a week and building trust with them to earn their business. Most of these businesses are family owned and I love that we are helping them protect what they have built.

What do you miss most about Texas A&M or Bryan/College Station?

I miss playing football on Kyle Field on Saturday. That was such a blessing and a great experience to fulfill my dream of playing Division 1A football, especially at Texas A&M. I also miss the city of College Station. There is no place like it in Texas.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy /what can’t you stop talking about?

I am passionate about a lot of things, but the three I am most passionate about are my faith, my family and football. I love talking about my faith with people and how my relationship with The Lord has changed my life and the trajectory of where I was headed. I brag on my wife and daughter all of the time and they are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am also a pretty big Aggie Football fan.

Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about?  Any nonprofits you love & why?

I work in the parking lot duty at my church (Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands). I love greeting people when they are walking in and making them feel welcome. You never know what people are going through and sometimes just a warm welcome and smile can really bless them. I have been sponsoring two kids from Compassion International for the
last five years and absolutely love it. This is a ministry that helps these kids have the essentials that they need and so many of us take for granted, while also teaching them about the bible and other life skills that will help them succeed as they get older.
