MICHAEL LANN WILLIAMSON
Michael Lann Williamson of Tomball passed away on Nov. 13 at the age of 64. He was born on April 29, 1950 in Brownwood. Mike graduated from San Marcos High School in 1968. He attended Texas A&M University as a member of the Corps of Cadets, graduating in 1972.
He served in the US Army as an officer before joining the Houston Police Department in 1976. Mike served with distinction for 34 years, retiring in 2005. He was a respected, highly decorated member of the force, including earning several awards in life saving
events. He married Susan Gilbert in 1979 and she also served with the Houston Police Department. Mike was active in his community and he especially enjoyed coaching with the Little League football program for nearly 20 years. He was a dedicated father, grandfather
and an avid Aggie.
Mike is survived by his parents, Dr. Bob and Chris Williamson of San Marcos; wife, Susan of Tomball; and two children and spouses, Michael and Kristin Williamson of Tomball, and Micaela and Mike Gerard of Conroe. Survivors also include two grandchildren, Michael
and Jayden Williamson of Tomball; one brother, Dr. Marc Williamson and wife, Camille, of Fredericksburg.
A memorial was held on Nov. 18 at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball with the Houston Police Department Chaplain officiating. The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
