Mark Jennings Shaw(1944 - 2014)
SHAW, Mark Jennings Mark Jennings Shaw of Duncanville, TX was born January 20, 1944, and died as a result of complications of Alzheimer's disease on January 1, 2015. Our "long goodbye" is over, and we now celebrate the life of this loving husband, devoted father,
faithful brother, true friend and extraordinarily good man. Mark grew up in DeSoto, TX and moved to Dallas at a young age. He graduated from Sunset High School in 1961, Texas A&M University in 1965 and received his Master's degree from North Texas State University.
Following this graduation he entered Naval OCS officer candidate school and entered the Navy as an officer serving in the Vietnam War on the USS Coral Sea. He married and is survived by his wife, Carolyn Woodall Shaw, of almost 44 years. He is also survived
by their daughter, Suzanne Maloney of San Rafael, CA and her husband Dan and their two daughters, Annabelle and Charlotte-his adorable grand-daughters. Mark and Carolyn's son, Greg, died in 1987 at the age of 14. Mark is also survived by his brother and life-long
best friend, Bill, his wife Peggy and their family including four nephews and nieces and their families. Another niece and nephew and their families belonging to Carolyn's brother and wife, Dr.& Mrs. Phil Woodall who complete Mark's loving and immediate family
circle. He was a life-long member of the Duncan-ville Church of Christ, and he and Carolyn attended and served in the church for a number of years, where he leaves numerous friends. After a long and varied work life as a CPA he joined his brother in owning
Standard Supply and Distributing and Bartos Industries from which he retired in 2008. The celebration of Mark's life will be held on Tuesday, January 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Duncanville Church of Christ 402 W. Danieldale Road, Duncanville, TX. Visitation will
be held at Jayne's Funeral Home, Duncan-ville, TX, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, January 5. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice .
