Larry Cahill 80th Birthday

Larry Cahill '57 celebrated his 80^th birthday at the Fair Oak Ranch Country Club between Boerne and San Antonio on November 8, 2014. Present over the weekend were 40 of his relatives, including 3 sons and 2 daughters, plus his grand kids and great grand kids. Most had traveled from Alaska, Virginia, Illinois, California, Minnesota, Texas, Washington State and DC for the birthday celebration and the televised Aggie-Auburn football victory.

Several of his classmates from the renowned Spider “D” Infantry Class of 1957 were also in attendance and received special embroidered Spider “D” tee shirts marking the occasion. They were Jim Leissner, Gene Wismer, Danny George and Don Lenert.

They also enjoyed a game of Beaux Reaux at the Club and "Lucky" Larry won the pot several times. After the Aggie game and dinner Saturday night, Larry's relatives gave talks about their experiences growing up under his stewardship.
