November 16, 1948 - November 6, 2014
Otis "Buck" Ray, Jr., a native of Gatesville, TX and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the age of 65. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and a proud Aggie! He was enjoying retirement after working over 30 years with Louisiana Utilities Supply Co. Buck loved boating, spending time at his camp, taking care of his yard, watching football and entertaining family and friends. Buck is survived by his wife of 8 years, Tammy Guidry Ray; children, Brittni Ray, Brandt Ray and his wife, Katrina; granddaughter, Paislee Ray; and sisters, Susan Stephens and Jean Morrison. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis "Doc" and Hazel "Honey" Ray; sisters, Kay Woodley and Ann Chamlee. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Greenoaks on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
