Vernon W. Christie

Vernon W. Christie, Jr., 78, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully in Austin on Nov. 13, 2009.

Vernon was born on Oct. 3, 1931, to Vernon W. and Blanche Soto Christie in San Antonio, Texas. He had retired from the Air Force in 1978.

Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Frances E. Christie, in May 2004.

He is survived by his three children; Vernon W. Christie and wife, LeeAnn, of Austin, Eric Christie and wife, Nancy, of Richmond, Texas, and daughter, Jill Christie, of Dale; and seven grandchildren: Lauren Hunt and husband, Sam, Michael Christie, Rabecca Christie, Kayla Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Jonathan Christie and Patrick Christie.

A memorial was scheduled to be held at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m.
