Obit: Odessa American - April 2, 2004 - "Alvis Q. Rainwater, 77, of Fort Stockton, owner and operator of Rainwater Motor Co., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in Fort Stockton.
He was born in San Angelo. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors: Wife, Jean Rainwater of Fort Stockton; sons, Bert Rainwater of Fort Stockton and Kenneth Rainwater of Lubbock, daughters, Beth Carr of Fort Stockton and Karen Southward of Abilene; sister, Marjorie Lea Welch of Del Rio and Barbara Schawe of Marsonville, N.Y.; brother, Lynn Rainwater of San Antonio; and seven grandchildren".
