Tony Angelo Lostracco 
(July 1, 1936 - August 3, 2014)

Funeral Services for Mr. Lostracco will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2 pm from the Calvary Baptist Church, in Weimar, Tx. Visitation will begin at noon from the Calvary Baptist Church, in Weimar. Interment will be in the Mi Vida Memorial Cemetery, Weimar, Tx. Pallbearers include: David Nelson, John Farmer, Randy Irby, Duane Epperson, Allan Schoenberg and Kenny Kruppa.

Tony A. Lostracco, Sr., Poppa Tony, died at his home with God's peace and his family by his side on August 3, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born on July 1, 1936 in Angleton, Texas to A.P. "Shorty" and Opal Turner Lostracco where he grew up along with his four siblings, sister Flo, brothers, Thomas, Carl and James. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1954. Tony attended Texas A & M University where he was a member of the Corp of Cadets.

Tony moved his family to Katy in 1967 where he owned and operated Grain Equipment Dealers, Inc., and Lostracco Realty. He moved to Weimar in 1978 and relocated Lostracco Realty. Tony also raised, raced and sold race horses. Tony was a true Aggie and his passion was Aggie football! He enjoyed sharing his love for the Aggies with his family and friends. It was one of his life's lessons. Tony's joy was attending the Aggie home games/tail gates with fellow Aggies. Tony loved to share his life's experience--he had a knack for telling his stories and a laugh that will never be forgotten. He was a Christian man that loved his Lord and his family was Gold's blessing to him.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Opal Lostracco; brother, Carl Lostracco; and son Tony A. Lostracco, Jr., "TAL". He is survived by his wife of 21 years Theresa Bass Lostracco; daughter, Terri Lostracco Rafter and husband Mike; step daughter, Shannon Persons Cooke and husband Ashley; step son, Preston Persons and wife Julie; sister, Flo Conner and husband Mike; brother Thomas Lostracco and wife Frances, and brother, James Lostracco. His pride and joy was his 8 grandchildren, Russell "JR" Rafter, Lauren Rafter, Ian, Conner, Chase and Joseph Jones, Emily Persons, Preston Grant Persons; 1 great granddaughter Ryleigh Paige Rafter; aunts; uncles; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews.

Tony was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Weimar and a member of the Weimar Masonic Lodge #423 A.F. & A.M. He was a charter member of the Katy Masonic Lodge #1439 A.F. & A.M. In 2014 Tony received the distinguished 50 year pin.
