Melinda Lark (Rembert) Wells(1971 - 2014)
Wells, Melinda Lark Rembert Melinda Lark Rembert Wells, age 42, a resident of Coppell, Texas died June 24, 2014 at MD Anderson after a valiant battle with brain cancer since 2007. Wherever she went, her Christian witness and wonderful spirit were obvious to all. She truly had the glow of Jesus Christ in her life. Born September 23, 1971 in Dallas, Texas, she is the daughter of Dr. Franklin C. Rembert and Mary Ann Poindexter Rembert. On November 5, 2005, she married Corey S. Wells in Dallas. Melinda was a graduate of Texas A&M University and had a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She was a member of MacArthur Blvd. Baptist Church in Irving, Bible Study Fellowship, Young Life, and Navigators. Survivors include her husband, Corey; her parents, Dr. Franklin and Mary Ann Rembert of Dallas; parents-in-law, Michael and Barbara Wells of Keller; sister, Dr. Melanie Rembert Sorrell and husband Charles of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Major Christopher Wells and wife Ashley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; niece and nephew, Allie and Dillon Wells. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Park Cities Baptist Church where they were married, 3933 Northwest Parkway in Dallas with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pine Cove Christian Camp - Tyler, P.O. Box 9055, Tyler, Texas 75711.
