VIETNAM WAR MEMORIALDEDICATION EVENT MAY 31, 2014 You're Invited to Veterans ParkThe Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial board of directors invites you to a formal dedication of the Vietnam War Memorial along the Lynn Stuart Pathway at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex in College Station, Texas. This
event is free and open to the public. The memorial will feature a UH-1D Huey Helicopter backdrop with soldiers approaching a dangerous landing zone, or "Hot LZ." This site honors all veterans of the Vietnam War and highlights the pivotal role of rotary wing
aircrews during the Vietnam era.Captain Robert "Bob" HesselbeinCaptain Robert "Bob" Hesselbein will provide the event's keynote address.
Hesselbein began his military career as a U.S. Army helicopter gunship pilot flying the AH-1G attack helicopter during combat operations in Vietnam and Cambodia. He transitioned to the U.S. Air Force and later the Wisconsin Air National Guard, flying A-10 and
F-16 jet fighters until retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 2000.
Hesselbein is a lifelong professional pilot and recognized aviation safety and security expert. read more

in Action on Dec. 27, 1972.
