Baxter Dewitt Honeycutt, 83, passed away on March 22, 2014. He was born on September 12, 1930 in Jacksonville, Texas, to Dave and Mary Honeycutt. 

He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He Graduated from Texas A&M with his Masters in Petroleum Engineering. He had an outstanding career as a Petroleum Engineer. He was an active member of the St. Christopher's by-the-sea Episcopal Church in Portland, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Nell Honeycutt; son, Michael Honeycutt.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Honeycutt of Ingleside, Texas; Step-son, Steve Pratt (Debbie) of Portland, Texas; daughter, Gloria Frances Holt (Scott) of Gordonville, Texas; brothers, Kenneth Honeycutt (Gaye) of Nashville, Tennessee, B.J. Honeycutt (Jeanne) of Sugarland, Texas, David Honeycutt (D'Ann) of Kingwood, Texas; sisters, Marie Fulton of Grand Praire, Texas, Ann Golden (Joe) of Key West, Florida, Becky Altmeyer (David) of Dallas, Texas; Grandchildren, Monica Johnson (John) of Portland, Texas, Natasha Anis (Yoed) of Austin, Texas, Kristy Buchanan of Lewisville, Texas; and three great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2014 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with family being present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Christopher's by-the-sea Episcopal Church in Portland, Texas. Burial will
