Cariño Casas '99 of El Paso, Texas, has moved to Jerusalem, Israel, where she now volunteers with two Christian ministries.
In April 2014, she joined the staff of
Christ Church Jerusalem as a multimedia volunteer where she will assist with social media, with curating 200 years worth of photographs and journals chronicling the Middle East and with documenting Jerusalem today. Cariño also writes and edits for
Succat Hallel, a 24/7 house of prayer in Jerusalem.
Previously, Cariño worked for the Riverside Press-Enterprise, the Las Vegas Review Journal, The Idaho Falls Post Register, the Albuquerque Journal, the El Paso Times and The Brownsville Herald.
Cariño encourages Aggies to contact her if they are in Jerusalem or plan to travel to Israel. Christ Church -- just inside the Jaffa Gate of the Old City -- hosts a guest house, a coffee shop and a museum. Cariño can also connect you with other ministries and
point you to her favorite spots in this historic city.
