Clinton Rudolph Bippert
Clinton Rudolph Bippert, 79, of La Grange, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin.
He was born in LaCoste on March 13, 1934, the son of Rudolph and Edna (Haby) Bippert. He married Evelyn Marie Friesenhahn on Sept. 1, 1953 in LaCoste.
Mr. Bippert was the Fayette County Extension agent in La Grange and retired after 33 years of service. He was also the hunting safety instructor for Fayette County since 1972.
He was a 1955 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BA and MA degree in ag education. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange and held a 3rd degree with the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by daughter, Debbie Campbell and husband Matt of Austin; four sons, Larry Bippert and wife Nancy of La Grange, Doug Bippert and wife Valerie of Atlanta, Ga., Charles Bippert and wife Carolyn of La Grange, and Kevin Bippert and wife Jena of Richmond; two brothers, Vernor Bippert of Floresville and Roger Bippert of LaCoste; 11 grandchildren, Aaron and Audrey Campbell, and Landon, Laken, Brett, Stephanie, Scott, Brady, Blayne, Allison and Justin Bippert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Evelyn, of 54 years.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Church, La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery.
