The Aggie Belles, a leadership and philanthropic student organization that receives funding from The Association of Former Students, raised $33,614.34 for the Children's Miracle Network.
This is the group's first year to hold their fundraiser, Aggie Dance Marathon.
The event's mission, according to the
Aggie Belles' website, is to bring the Texas A&M University’s student body and the Bryan-College Station community together in order to promote support for the Children’s Miracle Network.
All of the funds raised go towards providing the newest technology available in medical equipment, medications and testing for those who are unable to pay, and educational programs and services for children and families. "Most importantly," according to the
site, "Aggie Dance Marathon is dedicated to bringing hope to children in need. We stand for those who can’t."
Financial support of the Aggie Belles is just one of the many ways Texas A&M is impacted by the generous donors to The Association's Annual Fund.
