Originally from Gilmer, Texas, Jessica McCann graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a degree in Communication and minors in Journalism and Women's Studies. The day after graduation, she boarded a plane and left for Paris, France,
where she worked as a bicycle and segway tour guide.
As a student, Jessica was involved as a writer for the Battalion and interned with KBTX – Channel 7 News. Jessica is interested in women’s issues, participating in Aggie Women in Leadership and Aggies Selflessly Serving in Shaping Tomorrow, where she chaired
a fundraising event to benefit Phoebe’s Home, a local women’s shelter.
Jessica started her professional career with Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting in Houston, Texas as an organizational improvement consultant. She worked with a variety of clients, ranging from oil & gas companies and financial services firms to worldwide
transportation and logistics providers on their communication strategies, organizational design and performance management priorities.
In 2009, Jessica joined the Texas A&M Foundation as a development officer in Mays Business School. In this role, Jessica engages former students and friends of the University in the important work of the School and raises endowment-level gifts to support the
continued excellence of Texas A&M.
As the
Region 4 Representative, Jessica is the YAAC liaison for the following A&M Clubs: Ellis A&M Club, Ennis A&M Club, Kaufman County A&M Club, Navarro County A&M Club, Henderson County A&M Club, Van Zandt County A&M Club, Tyler-Smith County A&M Club, Deep East
