Marcy Canady '88: Tomball ISD names new Canyon Pointe Elementary principal

Tomball ISD has announced that Marcy Canady has been hired as the principal of Canyon Pointe Elementary School.
As Canady joins Tomball ISD she will begin her 26th year in education. Canady began her career as an elementary bilingual teacher in Goose Creek ISD. Since then, she has served in Tyler, Spring Branch, and Katy.She has a combination of both campus and central office experience. She developed instructional programs for grades PK-12 as the director of bilingual and ESL and she supervised the community relations division in Katy ISD. In Spring Branch ISD, she worked as a principal at an elementary school and a junior high/high school campus serving students in grades six through 12, but her favorite experience was serving as an elementary school principal.
Canady earned a bachelor of arts in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University and a master of science in educational administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
