David Warren Miller
Dave Miller, age 68, passed away on Saint Patrick's Day [March 17,2010] after a courageous 14 month battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on Christmas Day in Grass Valley, California to Ralph and Helen Miller. Dave served in the United States Air Force
and retired after 21 years as a Manpower Officer. He was employed by Honeywell in Colorado Springs and Johnson Space Center, Texas. Dave is survived by his wife Janet of 38 years; daughter, Kristina; son Matthew; and sister Sharon Curtis, Pineville, Louisiana.
Dave had family history in Canon City, Buena Vista, Hot Sulphur Springs, and Cheyenne, Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming, BS; Texas A&M, MS; and Auburn University, MBA. Dave explored the world and enjoyed every opportunity life had to offer.
He loved his motorhome and traveling with his family for 4 years before his illness. Dave obtained his pilot's license and scuba certification. He loved fishing, skiing, coaching youth soccer and planning RV trips. Everyone who knew Dave enjoyed his humor,
his positive spirit, and his love and concern for nature and the environment. He will be loved and missed forever.
