Robert Cloud, 58, passed away on May 24, 2013.
Robert (Bob to his friends, wife and daughters and wife's family, Bobby to many of his extended family) was a no nonsense, no frills guy who just went around quieitly helping folks with many different fix it projects--big and small. He was born in Coffeyville,
Kansas on August 26th, 1954 and spent most of his growing up years in Longview, Texas. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1979-1981 in Wisconsin. He received his Eagle Scout award as a teenager, has been both
a cub master and assistant scout master. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in August 1984. He worked as a Software Engineer for several companies throughout his career, most recently for Well Dynamics, then
Impact Guidance Systems.
His survivors include
Wife, Gayla Staples Cloud whom he married on June 10th 1983, so they were just over two weeks short of being married for 30 years.
Two daughters, Sarah Katherine Cloud, 27 and Rachel Marie Cloud, 19
One granddaughter Kalyse Noel Dixson, 5 months
Mother: Billie Elaine Meyer Cloud
Sisters: Susan Cloud and Melynda Cloud
Brother: Daniel Cloud.
Immediate family who have preceded him in death are his father Robert Edward Cloud, and two infant daughters Ruth Elaine Cloud and Deborah Jo Cloud.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (16333 Hafer Rd. Houston, TX 77090) on Monday, June 3, 2013. The visitation will begin at 10AM, and the funeral at 11AM. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
