Departed on Mar. 6, 2013 and resided in Caldwell, TX.

Services for Guy Edward Huffman, 60 years old, of Caldwell, are set for 3:00 p.m., Sunday March 10th at Caldwell Brethren Church, with Rev. Joseph Polasek and Rev. L. Kay Polasek officiating. Interment will follow at New Tabor Cemetery near Caldwell. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday the 9th at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Huffman passed from this world on March 6th 2013 at his home in Caldwell.
Guy was born May 5, 1952, to Harold Huffman and Lois (Henry) Huffman in Bluffton, Ohio. During the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Army while being stationed at Fort Hood. He graduated from Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas with a degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a licensed Securities Broker. Guy and his wife Martha have owned and operated their business Huffman's Financial Services, Guy E. Huffman, CPA in Caldwell since 1981.
Guy was a member and Past-President of the Caldwell Rotary Club, the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, and the Caldwell Brethren Church Board of Elders. He helped establish Caldwell Christian Care and continued to support it throughout his life. He was a member and officer of various other organizations including the Caldwell Emmaus Sonrise Prayer Group, Mutual Aid Society of the Unity of the Brethren, the Unity of the Brethren Synodical Committee, the Gideon's Bible organization and Caldwell Recreation Association.
Guy is survived by his wife, Martha (Polasek) Huffman of Caldwell; his mother, Lois Huffman of Phoenix, AZ; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Laura Huffman of Houston, TX.; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Tyron Matcek of Caldwell; grandchildren, Tristan Huffman, Chloe Huffman, Lillian Matcek, and Tyron Matcek Jr. brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Kelly Huffman of Goshen, IN., Jeff and Karen Huffman of Britton, MI, Rob Huffman and Judy Calahan of Newport, MI., sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Dan Straass of Phoenix, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Edward Huffman, twin granddaughters Sophia and Daphne Matcek, and his father, Harold Huffman.
Pallbearers will be Mark Dziobala, Matthew Hyvl, Billy Kornegay, Claren Kotrla, Tony Luksa, Chuck Majors, E.D. Perry, Bob Towslee, and Daryl VanDeventer.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell.
