Robert Schulz Jr.(1942 - 2012)
Robert G. "Bob" Schulz, Jr. of Clear Lake City, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born in Dallas on April 25, 1942, Bob was the son of the late Evelyn and Robert G. Schulz, Sr. Bob graduated
from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960 and from Texas A&M University in 1964. Bob was employed at Ford Aerospace, Rockwell International, and United Space Alliance (USA), retiring from USA five years ago as a department manager. Bob worked around and in
the Johnson Space Center for almost his entire professional career, witnessing America's space program from its inception, and he believed in mankind's place in the stars. He was a proud Texan; an avid hunter and fisherman; a writer, historian, poet, and scholar;
a chef and master of southern cooking; a blues singer and harmonica player; and a loving and inspiring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Surviving him are his wife of 10 years, Barbara Collier-Schulz, her son, Ross Deilke and granddaughter, Addisen
Deilke; two sons of previous wife Mary Thompson Schulz, Morgen Eric Schulz, his wife Laura, and Ahren Richard Schulz; and brother, Richard Schulz. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Olivia Lee Schulz and Evelyn Tatum Schulz. A funeral service will
be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Crowder Funeral Home, 111 East Medical Center Boulevard, Webster. A graveside service will follow at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.
