James D. Gray
September 26, 1929 - October 1, 2012

JAMES D. GRAY (Jimmy), 83, departed this life on October 1, 2012. He was born on September 26, 1929 to Herbert and Betty Gray in Houston, Texas.

Jimmy was a graduate of Lamar High School and a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of '51. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the United States Army, Armored Division and proudly served in the Korean War. A lifelong tennis player, he was a member of The Houston Racquet Club.

Jimmy was married 60 years to Margery Gray and a wonderful father to James D. Gray, Jr. (wife Ann), Karen Alford (husband David), and William E. Gray (wife Liz). He was also a very loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, Texas, 77007 with burial to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Seminary, 9845 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77024.
